Patrick „PACO” Reich

Born in 1979, I discovered my passion for photography when I got my first camera as a six year old. My nickname I got pretty much the same way as a well known, Fedora wearing archeologist, but that's a different story.

After school I spent some time with the Austrian army, before I started to explore the world. While I was working as a diveguide in Greece, I became the assistant for a german Photographer. That way, my hobby became my profession and I got my first "real" experience. Winter 2003 I started to work for a winter sports marketing company, what lead to a still ongoing partnership.

After a couple of years in the sports business, mainly travelling between mountains and the seaside, it was time for a change. In 2007 I put my uniform back on and worked as a Cobat Camera Team photographer for the Austrian army in Kosovo for 16 months.

Back in civil life, I continued to work as a sports photographer. After half a year in Romania, mainly shooting motor- and water sports, my journey led me back home to Graz/Austria, where I concluded the Academy for Applied Photography. At the moment I work as a sports-, press- and documentary photographer, while doing some more artistic lifestyle shootings in my spare time.
